adidas Originals Sport Lands in Malaysia: What to Know

2026-08-07

Activewear stopped being a uniform a while ago, and adidas has now built a training range around that shift. adidas Originals Sport, the brand’s first collection to put Originals styling on performance training gear, is on sale in Malaysia from 31 July 2026.

It is a women’s line, and it covers a full training wardrobe rather than a couple of hero pieces: bras, leggings, tanks, a onesie and lightweight layering. The design cues come from the Superstar tracksuit, so you get Trefoil branding, defined cut lines and a colour palette that does not look like standard gym kit.

Style codes meet training tech

adidas has no shortage of training wear, and no shortage of Originals pieces. What it has not really done before is put both in the same garment, which is the point of this line. The fabrics are the performance half of that: AdiSOFT and LYCRA ADAPTIV in the bras and leggings, CLIMACOOL in the tops.

“Today, women are redefining what performance looks like. They want workout wear that reflects who they are, not just what they’re doing,” said Lisann Costello, VP Product Design Partnerships and Sports Marketing at adidas.

The campaign is fronted by musicians Tate McRae and Emilia Mernes alongside professional volleyball player Harper Murray, which tells you who the line is aimed at: women who move between culture and sport rather than picking one. If you want a read on how adidas gear actually performs day to day, our review of the adidas Ultraboost 5 is a useful reference point.

Try it at Carve Studio until 14 August

To mark the Malaysian launch, adidas Originals has taken over Carve Studio from 31 July to 14 August 2026 with a Work It activation built around the collection. You can see the range in person, and adiClub members can spend 1,000 points through the adiClub app for a shot at the mat Pilates sessions running to 9 August. Slots are limited.

If you have never been to one of these, they are usually worth the trip. We went along to adidas adiDays Club a while back and came away with a decent sense of what an adiClub event actually delivers.

Price and availability in Malaysia

The collection is priced between RM129 and RM299, and it is available now on adidas.com.my and at adidas stores nationwide. On the Malaysian site, the leggings and midlayers sit at the top of that range, while tanks and bras land in the middle.

If your gym wardrobe has been running on plain black basics, this is the rare training drop where the styling is the reason to look, and the fabric list still holds up.
